AMSL Aero’s Vertiia is an electric, zero-emissions vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft that has garnered investment from IP Group Australia for its development. Capable of taking off like a helicopter and flying like a plane, the Vertiia is more efficient with fewer parts and utilizes low-emissions energy sources. After its first tethered test flight in 2023, the company aims to produce 1,000 aircraft annually within a decade. AMSL has raised over $50 million and is working with the Civil Aviation Authority for certification, with initial applications in medical evacuation and firefighting support in remote areas.
