A group of successful Canadian fintech founders has launched Exit North Ventures, a $20 million venture capital fund aimed at supporting early-stage fintech companies in Canada. The fund, offering seed investments between $250,000 and $1 million, is led by Tal Schwartz and includes notable partners like Michael Garrity and Gary Schwartz. With a combined exit value exceeding $1 billion, these founders aim to enhance Canada’s fintech ecosystem. Initially targeting $5 million in funding, they exceeded expectations due to strong market interest and have already made six investments, focusing on technologies in lending, insurance, payments, and capital markets.
