French dealmaker Erik Maris has joined Perella Weinberg Partners LP to enhance its advisory services for French and European clients. With over 30 years of investment banking experience, Maris previously co-founded Messier Maris & Associés and advised on over 200 transactions, notably the PSA Group and Fiat Chrysler merger. He has held senior roles at Lazard and recently worked with Advent International. His addition comes as competition in France’s investment banking sector intensifies, especially with Evercore opening an office in Paris. Perella has been active in France since 2018 and is experiencing growth in its European operations.
