Excel London is advancing its net zero goals by investing in a new fleet of hybrid plant machinery and transitioning to electric equipment where possible. This initiative, part of a broader sustainability effort, aims to reduce fuel consumption and Scope 1 CO2 emissions while also decreasing noise pollution during events. The venue has already switched to Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) fuel, saving over 75 tonnes of CO2 annually. Excel’s sustainability manager emphasized their commitment to reducing carbon footprints and achieving net zero by 2050, supported by various eco-friendly initiatives, including a zero-waste-to-landfill policy and renewable energy usage.
