Bengaluru, India’s tech hub, leads the country in attracting venture capital (VC) for startups, securing 48% of total VC funds over the past decade. The “Bengaluru Rising” report reveals that 1,273 startups received VC backing, totaling $66.3 billion in equity funding from 2014 to 2023. This amount surpasses that raised by other major cities like Delhi NCR and Mumbai combined. Bengaluru also boasts the highest average funding round size at $13.2 million across 5,000 rounds. Government initiatives, like Elevate Karnataka, support startups, with significant investments enhancing the city’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
