Acumen has invested in Kenya’s Keep IT Cool, a company dedicated to supporting smallholder farmers and promoting sustainable practices. The funding will help expand operations in Turkana and enhance sourcing processes. Acumen will also provide technical support to integrate refugee communities into the poultry supply chain. This initiative is part of Acumen’s Forcibly Displaced People Lens Investing program, funded by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, and IKEA Foundation. Keep IT Cool, a recent Earthshot Prize winner with USD 1.21 million in funding, aims to foster sustainable livelihoods in vulnerable communities.
