Makia Capital, an IPO advisory firm, has launched its first venture capital fund aiming to raise Rs 200 crore (approximately $24 million) to invest in pre-IPO and IPO opportunities in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and select public markets. Founding partners Shivanshu Birla and Sanchit Vijay emphasize a focus on three investment areas: pre-IPO opportunities, anchor investments in IPOs, and preferential issues for high-growth companies. The firm plans to invest in about 20 companies, with an average investment of Rs 10 crore each. Additionally, Makia Capital offers multi-family office services and has a broad client base across India.
