The Africa Investment Forum 2023, held in Rabat, Morocco, from December 4-6, showcased the continent’s investment potential with over 1,700 investors from 83 countries participating. African Development Bank President Dr. Akinwumi Adesina emphasized the need for increased investment, highlighting opportunities in housing, agriculture, and infrastructure, with potential markets worth trillions by 2030. Morocco’s Economy Minister Nadia Fettah Alaoui called for structural reforms to attract private capital. The forum generated $29.5 billion in new commitments across various sectors, including energy and agribusiness, and featured significant agreements aimed at fostering investment and improving economic ties with Italy.
