Schroders Capital and BlueOrchard have invested USD 5 million in the African Infrastructure Investment Fund 4 (AIIF4) via the Green Earth Impact Fund (GEIF). GEIF, managed by both firms, invests in private equity funds that emphasize climate impact. AIIF4, led by African Infrastructure Investment Managers (AIIM), targets climate-related infrastructure in regions like South Africa and Morocco. The investment will focus on renewable energy, green data centers, and temperature-controlled logistics, aiming to enhance clean energy supply, reduce carbon emissions, and improve food security in Africa. This initiative leverages AIIM’s local networks for scalable climate solutions.
