In 2024, India celebrated the achievements of Chandrayaan-3 and laid the groundwork for future space endeavors. The Union government’s policies on foreign direct investment spurred private sector involvement, enabling collaborations and financial support. A key highlight was the announcement of four astronauts for the Gaganyaan mission, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. ISRO progressed with the Gaganyaan mission, completing successful crew module trials. The government approved major projects, including Venus and Chandrayaan missions, and initiated a ₹1,000 crore venture capital fund for space start-ups, fostering a surge in private investment and partnerships.
