Robot System Products (RSP) has opened its first production facility outside Sweden in Chennai, through Scandinavian Robot Systems India Pvt Ltd, to tap into India’s growing robotics market. The facility will initially produce dress packs for robots, including tool changers and cable management solutions. RSP aims to leverage local suppliers and Chennai’s manufacturing ecosystem to expand its product range. The company focuses on serving system integrators, primarily in the automotive sector, and emphasizes quick customization and efficient customer service. Despite challenges in attracting investment for deep-tech robotics, India’s advancements in robotics highlight its growing global significance.
