The Punjab government announced that the Union Ministry of Agriculture has increased the state’s Agriculture Infrastructure Fund allocation from ₹4,713 crore to ₹7,050 crore, highlighting its commitment to improving agricultural infrastructure. Horticulture Minister Mohinder Bhagat expressed gratitude for this recognition, stating that the additional funds will enhance modernization efforts, including cold storage, warehousing, and processing units. He emphasized that Punjab has become a leader in the effective implementation of the Agricultural Infrastructure Fund scheme, with ongoing projects significantly transforming the agricultural landscape in the state.
