Prime Venture Partners has launched a $100 million venture capital fund aimed at investing in early-stage Indian startups. Over 80% of the fund’s capital comes from global institutional investors, including family offices and endowments from the US, Europe, and the Middle East. The fund plans to make initial investments between $2 million and $4 million, potentially increasing to $12 million in follow-on rounds, focusing on sectors like fintech, AI, SaaS, and Digital India. The Indian startup ecosystem, with over 100 unicorns, has attracted over $140 billion in VC investments in the past decade, reflecting investor confidence in its growth potential.
