IndiGo has received approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to launch an alternate investment fund aimed at travel technology startups. The fund will focus on innovative companies that can transform the aviation sector and enhance the passenger experience across travel, lifestyle, and hospitality. IndiGo Ventures, the airline’s venture capital initiative, has begun engaging with selected startups and plans to start investments by the end of FY 2025. According to IndiGo’s chief digital officer, the startups will gain access to the airline’s technical expertise and broad market presence, facilitating the development of new products and services.
