InterGlobe Aviation, operator of IndiGo, reported a loss of Rs 986.70 crore for Q2 FY24, down from a profit of Rs 188.90 crore in the same quarter last year. This loss was attributed to increased fuel costs and a peak in aircraft groundings, which are now declining. Revenue rose by 13.6% to Rs 16,969.60 crore, while total income increased by 14.6% to Rs 17,759.00 crore. Expenses surged 21.9% to Rs 18,666.10 crore. Despite these challenges, passenger ticket revenues grew 9.9%, and IndiGo aims to launch a business class service soon.
