Former investment manager Brett Paul Trevillian was sentenced on November 8, 2024, for forging performance reports related to managed discretionary account investments. He pleaded guilty to two counts of making false documents to obtain financial advantage under the Crimes Act (NSW). An ASIC investigation revealed that from April to October 2019, Trevillian forged reports for two products offered by AlphaThorn, falsely verifying investment returns and misrepresenting trading activities. His sentence is pending assessment for an Intensive Correction Order, with bail conditions remaining in effect. AlphaThorn, now Trading Life Services Pty Ltd, was banned from providing financial services for five years.
