ShopDeck, a D2C ecommerce solutions provider, raised $8 million in a funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from Elevation Capital, Venture Highway, and Chiratae Ventures. The funds will enhance its AI-powered technology, expand operations in tier-2 and 3 cities, and recruit talent. Co-founder Rishabh Verma emphasized the focus on software development to help merchants optimize their storefronts and attract more D2C brands. Founded in 2018, ShopDeck transitioned from a social commerce platform to an ecommerce enablement platform. It competes with companies like Shiprocket and Shipway and plans to expand into the beauty segment.
