In H1 FY25, real estate attracted the largest share of alternate investment funds (AIF), totaling Rs 75,468 crore, which is 17% of the overall AIF investments of Rs 4,49,384 crore. This sector raised Rs 28,560 crore through private equity and Rs 12,801 crore via qualified institutional placements in the first nine months of the year. Anarock reports a 10% growth in AIF investments in real estate since FY 2024. The AIF sector has experienced significant growth, with a CAGR of 83.4% from FY13 to FY24, driven primarily by category II AIFs. Other sectors benefiting include IT, finance, and renewable energy.
