The Agriculture Ministry has approved projects worth Rs 51,000 crore under the Agri Infrastructure Fund (AIF) since its inception in May 2020, launching over 83,000 initiatives. These projects have attracted investments totaling Rs 83,763 crore, primarily from private sources. The AIF aims to disburse Rs 1 lakh crore by FY26, offering loans up to Rs 2 crore with a 7-year repayment period and 3% interest subsidy. The fund connects farmers and entrepreneurs, promotes clean energy solutions, and is expected to reduce post-harvest losses significantly, enhancing agricultural productivity and employment opportunities.
