India’s funding winter is showing signs of recovery as Family Offices and domestic venture capital firms begin investing, according to Rajiv Anand, Deputy Managing Director of Axis Bank. He noted that while U.S. venture capital faced challenges with exits, India has successfully generated liquidity for private equity and venture capital investors over the past 6 to 12 months. The market’s maturity and acceptance of new economy companies have facilitated large deals and listings. Axis Bank currently supports over 700 startups with ₹2000 crore in lending and has a significant market share among Series A funded startups and unicorns.
