The Punjab government, under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is enhancing agricultural infrastructure by approving over 20,000 projects through the Central Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) scheme, led by Horticulture Minister Mohinder Bhagat. Punjab has surpassed other states, approving 20,024 projects worth Rs. 7,670 crore, compared to Madhya Pradesh’s 11,135 and Maharashtra’s 9,611. The Horticulture Department serves as the State Nodal Agency for the AIF scheme and has introduced a WhatsApp helpline (9056092906) for residents to access information about the initiative, aimed at promoting agricultural development and supporting local farmers’ economies.
