Saudi Arabia’s Capital Market Authority Unveils Strategic Plan
Saudi Arabia’s Capital Market Authority (CMA) has launched a strategic plan for 2024-2026, featuring over 40 initiatives aimed at enhancing the Kingdom’s financial market and global competitiveness, in line with Vision 2030. The plan focuses on three pillars: market growth, ecosystem enablement, and investor protection. Key initiatives include expanding debt markets, promoting fintech innovation, and improving transparency. The CMA aims to increase the stock market’s value to 80.8% of GDP by 2025 and enhance regulatory frameworks for sustainable finance. Strengthening investor rights and corporate governance are also central to the strategy.
