The Monroe County Fair in Albia has received the 2024 ‘Blue Ribbon Fair’ Award from the Association of Iowa Fairs, recognizing its commitment to youth programs and community service. The award was presented during the Association’s annual conference in December 2024. Thomas Barnes, Executive Director, praised the Fair’s contributions to the local community and its consistent dedication, noting that it last won this honor in 2007.
