In 2024, India-based venture capital funds raised over Rs. 57,600 crore across 54 funds, a 17% decline from 2023. Kedaara Capital led with Rs. 14,900 crore raised. The IT and ITeS sector dominated VC deals, with Bengaluru recording the most transactions. Private equity saw 1,021 deals worth Rs. 2.57 lakh crore, although this represented a slight decrease in value from 2023. Notably, Advent International’s exit from Bharat Serums and Vaccines was the largest at Rs. 13,400 crore. Additionally, angel funds completed 360 deals, while venture debt transactions doubled to 52.
