This fund aims to invest in private equity and venture capital funds to support the startup ecosystem. The government previously launched a similar fund in 2016, which has since committed around Rs 11,148 crore to 144 funds, benefiting over 1,100 startups. Additionally, a new deep-tech fund of funds is being explored, with an allocation of Rs 20,000 crore to foster innovation.
