Victor Menezes, a prominent Indian American banker and founder of the America India Foundation (AIF), passed away at 77 in Miami, Florida. A former senior vice chairman of Citibank, he was among the first Indians to reach top management in a multinational bank. Menezes dedicated his life to philanthropy, particularly in improving the lives of underprivileged communities in India. His contributions included a $3 million donation to IIT-Bombay for a convention center. AIF highlighted his leadership and commitment to empowering women, children, and youth, impacting over 19 million lives. He is survived by his wife, Tara, and four children.
