Ankur Capital has secured commitments from British International Investment (BII) and the John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation for its third fund, Ankur Capital Fund III, aiming to raise Rs 1,200 crore (around $150 million) to invest in advanced technologies focused on digital innovation and decarbonisation. Existing partners include the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and the Self-Reliant India Fund. Ankur Capital, with over $200 million in assets under management, supports pre-Series A startups, investing $1 to $2 million initially and up to $10 million subsequently, emphasizing deep tech, agtech, and climate solutions.
