The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) has launched its annual capital investment call, offering up to £60 million for NHS organizations in England, funded in partnership with the pharmaceutical industry’s VPAG Investment Programme. This initiative aims to enhance the NHS’s research capabilities by financing advanced equipment and refurbishments. Notably, £10 million is reserved for primary care organizations, promoting innovative solutions and increasing research access. Eligible applicants now include various NHS-related entities, including community pharmacies and dental practices. Funding will be allocated over 29 months, supporting the UK’s healthcare landscape and aligning with the Government’s Growth and Health Mission.
