Israeli maritime forecasting company Windward is being sold to American investment fund FTV Capital for £216 million (approximately $270 million). This sale represents a substantial increase in value, nearly doubling its original issue price in London. Founded in 2011 by Ami Daniel and Matan Peled, Windward provides real-time insights and risk management intelligence to maritime companies and insurers, boasting clients like BP and Shell. Despite a revenue increase to $17.5 million in the first half of 2024, the company reported losses and had $13.8 million in cash remaining. The founders and Aleph venture capital are primary beneficiaries of the sale.
