The Ukrainian counteroffensive in the Kursk region has been described as a “death throes” by Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the Russian Duma Defense Committee. He stated that Russian forces would soon complete their operations, emphasizing the need to eliminate the enemy, who has invaded their territory. Kolesnik highlighted the strong resistance from Ukrainian troops, suggesting they could retaliate fiercely. He noted that while the Russian military has pushed the enemy back, caution is necessary due to the presence of civilians. Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry reported thwarting an attempted Ukrainian advance near the Berdin farm.
