Standard Chartered has partnered with Apollo Global Management to provide financing for Apollo’s climate investing arm, ACT Capital, aiming to invest $3 billion in energy transition projects. This initiative is part of Apollo’s goal to deploy $50 billion towards climate solutions by 2027. ACT Capital includes Clean Transition II, a private equity climate fund, and Clean Transition I, a debt and hybrid fund. Standard Chartered will offer a senior secured credit facility for project finance and infrastructure loans, and has also acquired a minority stake in Apterra, Apollo’s infrastructure finance business, which has completed transitions worth $4.8 billion.
